India is, perhaps for the first time since independence, embracing a development model rooted in its own civilisational ethos — Integral Humanism. For decades, national policy leaned on imported ideologies. The Congress, despite its long rule, failed to implement either Gandhi’s Hind Swaraj or any model rooted in Bharat’s civilisational ethos. These frameworks often ignored the Indian context, treating development as a purely material pursuit.
